| Using Native Plant Education to Promote Land Conservation in North Carolina |
|
Although the focus of my graduate studies is native plant education and outreach, the overriding theme, and the best way to protect native plants and their habitats, is to promote land conservation in North Carolina. Therefore I have worked on various projects throughout my internships for several environmental organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, the NC Plant Conservation Program, and the NC Wild Flower Preservation Society. These projects all relate back to the purpose of my graduate studies and combine to form the culmination of my degree program which is my masters project. The outline below describes this project.
